Time for the next course

Ashley said goodbye during the break, she had to go do something. So you had to enjoy yourself by chatting to other colleagues. As a matter of fact all women seem to have gone off somewhere together, probably gone to the bathroom and doing their make-up.

It's a good way to get to know some of your colleagues better and to hear stories from other departments. A bell anounces the next course, so it's time to return to your table.

You sit down and notice none of the women have returned yet, so you just enjoy your wine.
It's not uncommon if people return a bit later when the dinner is already being served. You're looking forward to seeing Ashley return though, because you have much more to chat about.
