“Well...” Blake began to make a proposition. “Maybe we could brew up some potions to empower us for the battle ahead?”
Indigo nodded in approval. “Sounds like a plan. Although, you’ll have to explain how to do this...I’ve never dabbled in anything magical before!”
Blake blushed a little, looking away momentarily. Admittedly, he was a tad rusty in the spellweaving arts himself. But it would all come back to him soon...hopefully.
Clearing his throat, the mage spoke again. “First things first, we’ll need some empty beakers and various ingredients to create our potions.”
Indigo was quick to fetch two unused clear beakers from her desk drawer, setting them atop the wooden surface and placing Blake next to them. He didn’t bother questioning the introvert’s choice to store beakers in her desk, in light of his current mission to save all life in existence.
“These’ll do, right?” Indigo asked her tiny friend.
“Yeah, I think so!” Blake replied. “Now we just need the base materials...”
Indigo raised an eyebrow at Blake’s longer-than-usual pause. “What exactly are those materials?”
