One Saturday morning, a family were sitting at the table, eating breakfast.
On one end of the table sat Darlene, the mother, a thin woman of average height with a blonde ponytail and large blue eyes. She was wearing a black dress and a pink cardigan.
On the other end sat Tony, the father, a tall, pudgy man with small hazel eyes and curly brown hair. He was wearing an orange shirt and black jeans.
On one side of the table sat Darlene and Tony's two oldest children: Veronica who was eleven and and had blonde pigtails, was a bit short for her age, and was wearing a lacy blue dress with buttons all down the front, and Gabe who was eight and of average size for his age, and had straight brown hair, glasses, a neon green T-shirt and navy blue shorts.
And on the opposite side from Veronica and Gabe was Elise; the youngest child. She was wearing a red frilly dress and had curly brown hair like her father's, tied up with a red bow.
All the children had eyes like their father's, except Elise who had eyes like her mother's.
"Guess what?!" said Darlene.
"What?!" said everyone else, except Elise who kept drinking milk from her sippy cup.
"My parents Grandpa Stephen and Grandma Alana are coming to visit this afternoon!"
The children cheered, for they really enjoyed their grandparents' visits.
