Chapter #4

Taking it slow.

Nicholas was the first to exit the shed as he straightened his bow-tie. He was to be the one walking the floor and gaining intel first person from the guests.

He approached the patio that this side of the mansion featured, there were many people out here. Enough that any slight action from him would likely go unnoticed.

Nicholas began to look around.

"Don't see anything yet, Connor."

"Of course not, you're still not even in the building. Now PLEASE try and keep comms light until you get any real information. Most guests here are weird, but not "talk to yourself while taking a walk" weird."

"Fine..." Nicholas replied, frustrated.

He walked nonchalantly through the garden as he saw a server exit the mansion and step onto the patio. She was cute. She had to be no taller than 5 feet, and had black hair that curled around the sides of her face in a bob cut. The platter she was carrying seemed to honestly be too large for her as she struggled to keep it steady as she carefully stepped around guests on unsteady feet.

He then saw a giant of a man laughing as he slapped the back of someone he was talking to. The man had to be around 6'7". He was clearly impressed by whatever joke the person beside him had told.

He looked like old money. Nicholas knew there was no way he earned his money by his own means. Hell, this place was full of pricks who had everything handed to them.

He thought back to what he had heard in his head minutes ago.

Hell, why not try it. Worst case scenario he believed a hallucination, best case scenario he has a new way to level the playing field between those with and those without.

He saw the server continue to struggle as she nearly tripped and dropped her platter. Nicholas knew she was only there to try and feed herself, so he decided to make her life a little easier.

After focusing for a few seconds he closed his eyes. When he opened them again what he saw shocked him.

There, expertly moving through the crowd was the server. Her shakiness was gone, her footwork was smooth, and the food she was carrying couldn't be more stable.

He then saw why.

The girl's hand were now enormous, and even hairy. So were her feet.

She carried the platter expertly in her giant calloused hands as her huge feet gave her plenty of room to balance on as she navigated the busy patio.

The server was then flagged down by a guest who wanted some food and she stopped on a dime to hold the tray out as the guest picked 3 small sandwiches off the platter. The server bid the woman goodbye as she raised one of her meaty hands to wipe her brow.

The man on the other hand hadn't noticed a thing as another anecdote was finished near him. The joke must have been at his expense as he playfully slapped the should of the man telling it with a dainty hand, complete with painted nails. The man shouted as he apparently broke a nail due to his rough gestures.

"I can't believe this." Nicholas said aloud.

"What?" Connor replied into Nicholas' ear.

"It's... It's nothing..." Nicholas said, eager to not let this gift spoil the mission.

He was however, excited. This was yet another tool he could use in his infiltration of these rich assholes.

He was gonna have fun on this heist.
