Uncontrollable Changes

Something completely random comes and shakes the status quo by uncontrollably and randomly swapping things between everyone and everything. Whoever the protagonist is either has to try and find the source or just try and contain the problem. Whatever happens, you choose whether everyone is aware or not and if they react to the changes or if they just brush them off.
