“Finally up? Good,” she said.
You were surprised to learn that you could understand the wild Braixen, but it was a good thing, because it meant you could actually talk to each other. However, you also noticed a strange mischievous tone in her voice. But you decided not to worry about it too much. She was being good to you so far, taking you out of the cold wilderness and into this safe cave. Even now, she was holding you against her furry tummy with her paw, and it felt amazingly soft and warm. You got the feeling she was a good Pokemon, so you weren’t too nervous.
“Thank you for saving me,” you said. “You did save me, right? That’s why you took me here?”
“Yeah,” Braixen said. “I couldn’t let a cute little guy like you freeze or get eaten out there. But I wonder how a human got so small anyway. I’ve never seen something like this.”
“Like I said, I don’t know how this happened,” you said.
Braixen gasped as she realized you just responded to her, proving you could understand her. She grinned and pressed you into her belly, pinning you even more tightly, essentially giving you a giant hug. You squirmed against the pressure, making her giggle as if you were tickling her.
“Wow, hold on! You can understand me? That’s awesome!” she said.
“Yes, I can, but I don’t know how. I’m really confused.”
“Well, don’t worry. I’m not gonna hurt you. I dunno how to make you normal size again, but I guess I can keep you with me and keep you safe. Although… in exchange, I’d like if you could help me out, too.”
The mischievous tone came back to her voice, and you shivered. “What do you mean?” You asked.
“Well, it does get lonely here in my den, and boring. I need something to keep me entertained… and I feel like you’d make a good little toy.”
You gulped nervously. “Toy? I’m a human, I’m not a toy!”
“You sure look like a toy now—like a cute little doll. But if you don’t wanna be my special toy, I guess you’ll have to go find another Pokemon to take care of you.”
You gulped again. You weren’t comfortable with being treated as a toy by this Braixen, and you were nervous about how she intended to play with you. But if you refused, and Braixen decided to put you back in the wilderness, you might freeze or get gobbled up by a predator.
