After sliding down the sloping tunnel, you arrived in the den. It was pretty big, and as Buizel said, it had a pile of dead fish Pokemon in one corner, a stockpile of food for these two meat-eating Pokemon. It smelled pretty bad, but you just had to deal with it for now. Aside from the fish, the room had a big pool of water and some soft grass for beds. On one of these grass beds was a Vaporeon. You were surprised, because you expected to see a mature Floatzel as Buizel’s mother, but you guessed the kid was actually adopted. You wondered what happened to her birth mother, but you decided not to ask about it now. It was more important to get introduced to the adult Pokemon.
“Hello, dear,” the Vaporeon said to Buizel. “Welcome back. You said you have a friend?”
“Yep! Got him right here! I’m holding him! He’s really small, but he’s pretty special!”
The young Pokemon brought you to her adopted mother, holding you out. You shivered nervously in her grip, but smiled at Vaporeon, hoping you could make a good impression.
“Hello,” you said. “Nice to meet you.”
Vaporeon gasped and stood up, leaning in closer to you, staring at the tiny human held in her daughter’s paw.
“Y-you’re a human?” she asked. “A very small one, though. I’ve never heard of a human being so tiny before!”
Buizel told her mother about everything you explained before: how you went hiking and got shrunken randomly, how you lost your clothes, how you gained the ability to talk with Pokemon, how you met a Weavile who refused to help you, and how you tried swimming across a river and almost drowned before Buizel saved you. Buizel also explained how she promised to take you to the den and help you get warmed up.
You watched Vaporeon, wondering how she’d react to a human being brought into her den. Earlier, Buizel said her mother wouldn’t hurt you, but you were still worried about it. There was still a risk that she wouldn’t be as friendly as her adopted daughter was.
