And the cause of Aurora's size change is...

1) Maleficent decides it would be more fun for her and hurtful for Stephan and his kingdom if instead of making her sleep the dragon made her into her tiny pet/slave

2) Mulan shrinks her, not wanting to have to deal with Philip as competition for the woman she loves Aurora will love her soon enough, she just needs to show her how important she is to her goddess.
