Soon after, Alphonse and his two chimera-human bodyguards set out to Xing. Renard went on his way, wanting to go visit this 'big brother' of the affectionate young Elric who he'd heard about.
Stowing away on a train, the fluffy passenger hopped off discreetly once it arrived in Resembool. Trotting through grassy fields, he came to a homestead that had a sign outside that said: "Rockbell Automail Repair"
"Hmmm...this must be where the older blondie lives.." Renard thought in his foxy head. Trotting up onto the porch, he spotted Den. The Rockbell family dog was looking at him curiously and gave a small 'ruff'. Ren wagged his tail and pawed at the dog with the automail front leg.
Around Renard's fluffy neck was a letter in a pouch addressed to Ed and Winry. It was from Alphonse and was meant to explain the fox's situation and how he had no where to go...so the fluffball would have to stay with them.
It was a step-up from Al bringing kittens and pleading with Ed to keep them certainly!
Renard had convinced Alphonse to leave out the part about him being a 'chimera'. The foxboy was mischievous and wanted to surprise them when he transformed!
Tapping a paw on the door in a sort of 'knock', Renard waited around the corner of the door for the answer.
A short while later a young man with blond hair tied back in a ponytail answered the door. Looking around in confusion, Edward saw no one and murmured: "Must've been nothing..."
He nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt something soft and fluffy brush past his leg and into the house.
Ed had no clue what this could be, Den was right there so...what on earth...?
"IDIOT BEANSPROUT! YOU LET A WILD ANIMAL INTO THE HOUSE!!" Pinako's shrieks emitted from behind Ed.
