At an Elementary School (Gr 1-8)

Before you can do anything, you look at your watch and realize the time. You promised your mom you would pick up your brother from middle school today and he’ll be out in 10 minutes. You grab your jacket and run out the door, dashing to make it on time. You don’t want to be late since your brother gets really pissed when he has to wait. You would know having to grow up with him.

You make it to your car and see a cat sitting right in front of it. Laying down in front of the tire. Now you’re obviously not going to run over a cat. Who would be that cruel? You go to your car and honk your horn but it wasn’t budging. You even jumped in front of it to scare it with no avail.

Not sure what to do you check your watch again and realize that you now have 7 minutes to get there on time. Remembering your abilities you try something out. You turn into a big dog, a German Shepard. A really big on too, with altered vocal cords to have even deeper of a bark. You run at the cat barking and finally it runs off into a bush somewhere. Guess this ability is pretty useful after all.

Finally able to get your car going, it takes a second for the ignition start. It was an old car after all. 2008 Toyota Camry that was a gift from your dad. You feel like he bought it cheap from the scrapyard and just kind of gave it to you. Even the paint job is bad. It’s a bright orange that looks absolutely awful combined with the ruse. It’s a miracle it even runs. “I bet I could turn into an even better car than this one...” you joke to yourself.

Finally after the car starting you check your watch again and realize that now you only have 5 minutes to get there. You zoom along the road, making every shortcut you can to get the middle school on time. Checking your watch every now and then just in case. It’s gonna be a close call
