On a whim, you went to a thrift store and looked through the DVD section. you managed to find the Darkstalkers cartoon.
You smirked, as you knew it was cheesy and thin storylines. While you looked forward to mocking the cartoon Mystery-Science-Theater-3000-style, you did have a soft spot for the entire franchise of Darkstalkers.
Yes, being a fan of Darkstalkers tended to feel like a hungry dog chasing after a turkey leg being held out of a window of a moving car.
After buying the DVD set, you headed home and it began to rain.
The closer you got to home, the heavier it rained. You even heard the rumbling of thunder. When you entered your home, a Lightning bolt struck. Where it struck, you had no idea, but you said to no one in particular, "I want to say that it was kind of a nice touch, but you're just trying too hard."
So after getting a bag of chips and something to drink, you put in the DVD. You shook your head and chuckled as you watched the trailers of the Mega Man Cartoon and the Street Fighter 2 Cartoon, and how both trailers had the other's audio.
When it finally got to the opening of the first Darkstalkers cartoon, There was a lightning bolt so close, the boom from the thunder made you jump, nearly spilling your drink and the bag of chips.
Then the power went out.
"Motherfucker..." You grumbled, until you noticed the TV was still on, but the image was getting distorted. You looked and saw that neither the TV and the DVD player had lights on. "The hell?"
Before anything else could happen, you were pulled into the TV by a mysterious force. When you landed, you saw that you were now in the Cartoon.
