Ruby was far from a selfish person, unless it dealt with her weapon, Crescent Rose, and cookies.
If this remote was really as powerful as the pamphlet indicated, there were virtually unlimited adventures and fun she could have. If someone else was in on it too, Ruby would have an additional person to not only come up with ideas, but also keep her company. There were a lot of people she could show the remote too. All came with their own positive and negative aspects. She had to choose the right one.
Jaune would be the obvious person to ask. He was her first, best, guy friend and they had a lot of similar interests. He also wouldn’t immediately dismiss her as being crazy if she showed him the remote. The downside was Jaune was kind of reserved and might not encourage her to try out the full potential of the remote. On the other hand, if might help him come out of his shell around others.
Her sister, Yang, was another good option. Yang was an outgoing party girl that was sure to have ideas on how to use the remote. The downside was her ideas might involve dirty and filthy things. It was a risk Ruby would have to take. She was confident her sister wouldn’t go too far and Ruby was bound to have fun. All she had to do was ignore the teasing and terrible puns.
The third choice was Weiss, her partner. This was actually risky. First, Ruby would have to convince Weiss the remote was real. If it was real, Weiss would have to be convinced to try it out with Ruby. That might be easy though, as she would want to figure out how it worked. She was also smart and could think of more unusual ways to use the remote. It was also be a great team building activity for them. The biggest drawback was she might not approve of anything extremely exciting.
