This choice: Continue to experiment with the remote. • Go Back...Chapter #4Perfectionist by: Zone Okay, so now that I know this remote is… magic. I really can’t explain it otherwise. What should I do next?
Weiss was somewhat of a perfectionist and her brain immediately began to think of how to proceed. She needed to be systematic in her swaps to test out each of the functions. As she dug through her dresser for a bra with a strap, her mind was already running through ideas. Everything stopped when she pulled out one of her favorite bras, a silver lace one with shoulder straps. This time the cups were much, much larger than they had been before. It seems all her clothing had adjusted. Weiss smiled and quickly changed out of her strapless one. Yang’s, well, her new breasts now were heavy. Weiss had no doubt she would be getting tired of the weight at some point.
Until then, why not show them off a bit?
She adjusted her current dress a little so the top of her new chest was clearly on display. Smiling to herself, she posed in front of the mirror, placing an arm under her breasts to push them up. It was one of Yang’s favorite positions.
“Heh, they might be a little big for my frame,” Weiss said softly. “Pyrrha’s or Blake’s would be a better fit, but there’s plenty of time to mix and match. For not, let’s see what else this device can do.”
There were several different swaps she could try out. Limiting her options, she decided to avoid another Body Part Swap until she tested out the others. Body Swap was also crossed off for now, due to being too similar. That left Wardrobe, Life, Personality, and Personal Info Swaps available. Each had pros and cons, something Weiss began to write down in her notebook. Carefully weighing her options and choosing the best course of action was how she liked to act.
Wardrobe Swap was perhaps the safest bet. Clothing was a simple swap compared to life or intangible things, like names and personality. The downside was Weiss’s clothing was all top of the line expensive goods. No one else in Beacon would have anything similar in value, except maybe Pyrrha and Coco. There was a chance whoever she swapped with would ruin her things.
Life Swap was the next choice. From what the instructions described, she would remain the same appearance except would be living the life or the target and them her. She would be in their clothes and everyone would see her as them. Part of her wanted to see if swaps beforehand were affected by the Life Swap and what would occur after. The downside was she didn’t know if she could act like someone else. The instructions said she would be able to understand how to act like the target, but it didn’t explain it in details.
Personality Swap was a risky but intriguing option. Weiss’s teammates kept telling her she needed to have some more fun and just relax, but that wasn’t like her. She wanted to work hard and stay ahead. Maybe swapping with someone would let her see the appeal of having time to goof off and discover a hobby. The risk was she may not want to swap back. She didn’t know the full extent of what that swap would do.
The Personal Info had the most choices, as she could theoretically swap anything she could imagine. Names, weapons, race, positions, occupations, intelligence, pretty much everything not listed in previous swaps was on the table. The risk was written down in a small subsection beneath the main instructions. It warned that some Personal Info Swaps could cause reality to alter in unforeseeable ways. Users needed to be careful. This sounded ominous with a device already capable of alternating reality and memories.
Weiss examined her notes and finally decided which swap she wanted to do next.
indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
