As you walk down the dirty streets, hearing the sounds of the ocean everywhere you went, you became increasingly aware of the fact that people were beginning to stare at you, and they weren't always very friendly looking. "Might be time to try out this power," you think, walking a little faster as you're starting to get nervous. "it's pretty obvious I'm not from around here, but what if instead... I were?"
As you rush around a corner, hoping to get away from some of the crowds, you suddenly run headfirst into a woman wearing a majestic looking long coat, her long red braided hair hanging down next to her frankly massive breasts, which she seemed perfectly alright with keeping on display, and which you just barely stopped yourself from faceplanting into.
"Well, looks like somebody's in a rush." she says, amused by where your attention very obviously immediately went. "Eyes up here, kid - where ya headin' so fast?" You hadn't recognized her at first, since she still had her classic look in the game, but the tone of her voice makes it quite clear who this is - Captain Sarah Fortune, the Pirate Queen of Bilgewater.
"M- Miss Fortune?" you stammer out, surprised and just a bit intimidated that you'd managed to actually find one of the League champions so quickly.
"It's 'Captain' these days, kid, but I'll let you off the hook this time," she said with a wry grin, her apparent friendliness undercut by the fact that she's unhooked one of her pistols from her belt, and has started spinning it in her hand. "Now I do hate repeating myself, but I can't help notice you haven't answered my question."
"I'm... just trying to get somewhere safe." you manage to get out, eyes glued to the pistol in her hand, "I guess you could say I'm... new around here, and was hoping not to get murdered in the street on my first visit."
She laughs, returning her pistol to her belt, "You're headed the wrong way then, kid - you're already in the "safe" part of Bilgewater, for as much as that word can mean here. Harbor's our public face, we all try to limit the violence here so as not to scare away potential business partners." A hint of pride underlines her words - that's right, if you're in the time where she's dressing like this, then she's already taken over power from Gangplank, which means she's in charge around here.
She moves to walk past you, clearly done with your conversation. "Wait, where are you going?" you say, not eager to separate from the only person who's been openly friendly to you so far.
"Me? I'm heading home," she says over her shoulder. "You, on the other hand, should be heading for the inn down the street a ways. Here, consider this a little welcome gift." She flips a single gold coin behind her, which you barely manage to catch.
It's now or never, you realize - if she's the ruler of Bilgewater then you might not be able to get this close to her again so easily. You raise the gauntlet towards, focusing your willpower into it as you focus on a single thought...
