Harry Potter was late to quidditch practice for the fourth day in a row, and Ginny Weasley was not pleased with him. She was just about to give him a piece of her mind when her attention was diverted. A tall figure had just appeared in the stands, and Ginny couldn't help but recognize the blonde hair of Draco Malfoy.
Malfoy had been the subject of Harry's obsession since the first night of school. Every time Harry talked about him, Ginny could see a spark of curiosity in his eyes and an unspoken challenge that Ginny feared might lead Harry down a path he would later regret. She could sense that something was going to happen today, and Ginny had to act fast.
Ginny abandoned her scolding of Harry and followed Malfoy out of the stands. He headed towards the castle, heading to the seventh-floor corridor where the Room of Requirements was located. After the door appeared, Malfoy entered. Without a second thought, Ginny dashed towards the door and, as a matter of luck, managed to slip in just before it closed. She found herself in a room full of junk. But before she could step further, Malfoy's cold voice echoed through the hallway.
"What are you doing here, Weasley?"Ginny froze in her tracks, her heart pounding in her chest. Malfoy stood at the end of the corridor; his wand pointed directly at her. His face was a mask of anger and confusion, and Ginny could see he was about to cast a spell. Without thinking, Ginny dove to the side just as Malfoy's spell shot through the air. She felt the heat of the spell graze her skin, but she was too fast. She scrambled to her feet and stumbled down the hallway, her heart racing with fear.
Malfoy was still in pursuit, his wand lighting up the darkness. Ginny knew she had to act fast, and without thinking, she summoned a shrinking spell and directed it at Malfoy. In an instant, Malfoy was reduced to the size of a fairy.
Ginny felt a wave of relief, knowing that she had outsmarted Malfoy, but it was quickly replaced with a sense of justice. She finally got her revenge on the school bully and was determined to make sure it was a lesson he would never forget.
Ginny scooped up Malfoy and grinned wickedly. She could feel the power coursing through her veins as she held the helpless Malfoy in her hand. Malfoy struggled to straighten himself up. He was terrified and a bit amused by Ginny's twisted sense of revenge. "Well, what do you suggest we do then, Weaslette? What's the plan?" Malfoy's voice was full of sarcasm and venom.
"Maybe I could keep you as a pet - or maybe I should get rid of you forever," Ginny said mischievously.
The tiny boy squirmed in her first. Trying to retain his confidence, Malfoy glared and said, "I have friends in high places. If I told them so, they would come after you and your blood trader family. Especially if you hurt me."
"You're not very smart, Malfoy," Ginny replied with a grin that was tinged with pity. "You're only a couple of inches tall, so I can easily hide you away wherever I choose. You are completely under my control." In one final attempt at rebellion, Malfoy bit down hard on the smooth skin of Ginny's palm. "Ouch! You little pest," cursed Ginny. "I'll have to teach you a lesson you won't forget." Without another word, the towering witch...
