Fredrick sat at the table. He was nervous. This was his first time out on a date since he'd broken up with them. He could remember the feeling of betrayal quite well, the sight of seeing them going at it with their lover in their bed! He remembered how angry he felt, kicking them out, and tossing their stuff out onto the curb. He also remembered how lonely he'd felt. He was over them now, but he was still lonely.
That was when he'd heard about the App. He wasn't picky about species. He wasn't really all that picky about gender either. All he really wanted was companionship, although a good friend would be good too. Within two days, a possible match had been set up. He knew that the other was human, but didn't know their name, or their gender, really. Still, there was Hope.
So, they had agreed to meet. He was wearing a black suit. They would be dressed in red.
His picked up some of the rare meat appetizer that was on the table. He hoped that he hadn't been stood up.
