Nataly forced herself to stop humming that song, but she couldn't help but be excited.
When she first downloaded the Monstr App, it had been as a goof. She really didn't think she could actually meet a "monster," much less date one.
As she did research, she found the app was real, and you could date these monsters. But in all honesty, there were none of the monsters she wanted to date.
And then she saw Wahasha.
At first, she thought Wahasha was a fake. He looked like a real life version of the Beast from the animated film. He couldn't be real.
But then she went to a link his profile describing Wahasha's species, and they were real. They were a very ritualistic, polite people who were nonetheless feared by the other monsters as fierce warriors with indomitable spirits. They were a complex people, where poets were just as esteemed as poets, and a male who was accomplished in both areas was held in the highest regards.
