The boys notice Cody and went over to him

The six boys, with their curious gazes fixed on Cody, slowly approached him. Each of them had a look of innocence and friendliness that seemed to radiate from their smiles. Despite the initial shock, Cody felt a wave of relief wash over him, realizing that he might not be alone in this desolate place after all. As they grew closer, their footsteps whispered across the soft grass, their youthful energy undiminished by the harsh desert surrounding them. The leader of the group, a boy slightly taller than the rest, took a step forward and offered a piece of fruit from the nearest tree.

The boy greeted Cody in a language he could understand but takes the fruit from him. Cody bites into the fruit and found it was incredibly sweet and good. After eating the fruit, the leader offers Cody a hand.
