This choice: All of the staff were teenage boys, too • Go Back... Cody was quite surprised that even the staff were all teenage boys. He was at least expecting an adult somewhere around here! When Jason answered Zack's question about there being no adults, he wasn't kidding! A lanky, bored looking seventeen year old in a nice suit stood at the counter on his phone, and he sighed in annoyance as he saw people enter. Two younger, energetic fourteen-year-old bellhops were busy racing their carts around the spacious lobby. Zack looked ready to join them, but Cody tugged on his sleeve and gave him a severe look, and Zack contained himself.
Jason said, "Hey Alex, can you get a room set up for these two? I found 'em stranded just outside the resort!" and Alex, the teen behind the counter, said, "So they've got no reservation, then." and Jason said, "What do you think?" and Alex sighed as he picked up the phone and dialed someone, presumably one of the owners.
The three watched Alex and listened to him talk on the phone. He said, "Mr. Huntington, I've got two dudes here that were just found stranded on the island. What do you wanna do about 'em? ... Yeah, they're teens, definitely younger than me. ... You're serious? ... Alright, whatever you say. I've always admired your generosity."
At those words, both twins pumped their fists in celebration, and Jason looked quite relieved. Neither of them could believe their luck today! Alex rolled his eyes, but he was nevertheless smiling as he said, "I've got good news! You boys stay here as long as you need, and you get platinum access to all our amenities!" then he held out a pair of silvery white cards, saying, "I'll just need you guys to give fill out a short form and sign a couple of things, then we'll be golden!" and the twins eagerly agreed, vigorously scribbling down all of the info and passing their forms back to Alex. Even Cody, who was trying to be level-headed and mature, could no longer contain his excitement at getting to stay here, especially since whatever "platinum access" was, it sounded fantastic!
Even Jason's jaw hit the floor as he heard that. Given that his card was golden, the twins presumed he only had gold access to amenities. As the boys handed their forms back, Alex said, "I figured you guys were brothers. Twins, I take it?" and Zack said, "Isn't it obvious?" and Cody sighed at Zack's snide comment. Alex said, "Anyway, you guys are in room 1307. It's a deluxe suite, so you'll have a small living and dining space, separate bedrooms, a kitchenette and a balcony." and Cody asked, "Awesome! So what does platinum access mean?" and Alex said, "These cards give you free and unlimited access to any amenity in the resort, this includes meals, snacks and drinks. Basically anything that we normally charge for is free for you guys. You can see a full list of amenities on the information guide in each desk." and the twins' jaws were practically on the floor.
Jason tried to hide his jealousy as much as possible, saying, "I'm so happy for you guys! You're gonna have a great time! I'm gonna go back to exploring the island if you need me!" and he waddled off. Cody couldn't help but sense his frustration, and he said, "What's your room number in case we wanna hang out?" and Jason said, "916!" a smile already coming back to his face. He was fully expecting the twins to forget about him, but he was happy they at least knew where he was.
One of the bellhops ran up to the two excitedly, saying, "Can I help you gentlemen with your bags?", with they other bellhop eyeing them intently and Cody said, "Actually, we don't have any. We got shipwrecked." and the boy said, "I'm sorry to hear that sir. Allow us to show you to your room!" and soon, the two spastic younger bellhops were running over to the elevator to call one down. Zack was eagerly running with them, and Cody only hesitated a moment before he caught up with them.
Soon, they were up in their floor, which was quite high up, and the bellhops each went up to a set up double doors with the number 1307 on a small plaque next to them. Each bell hop pushed one of the doors open, welcoming the twins in like royalty! The suite was amazing! It had a comfy couch in front of a massive tv with all the latest gaming systems underneath, along with a massive window overlooking the pristine blue ocean. There was a nice little dining area complete with a fancy centerpiece on the small table. The kitchenette was modern and beautiful, and each small bedroom had a large, comfy, king-sized bed with another tv in each room. The bathroom was huge and, on top of everything else, it had a nice bathtub with massage jets that overlooked the ocean.
The bellhops said, "Enjoy your stay!" in unison, and they high-fived for getting it perfect as they left the room, leaving Zack and Cody to their own devices. Each brother claimed a room, finding that even their dressers were loaded with clothes for them before they both sat together on the couch, looking at the pamphlets. "So what do you wanna do first, bro?" Zack asked, and Cody said, "It's so hard to decide! There's so much to do!"
Ultimately, the brothers both agreed that the first thing they'd do is...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
