Yes, he promises her to keep it a secret.

Tom wasn't sure whether telling Marilyn about Mezelin was the best idea in the world. However seeing as she went towards his bedroom, Tom knew he needed to put a stop to this. Blocking the way to his bedroom with his body he looked Marilyn in the eyes; her curious green eyes looking back at him.

"If I tell you something that is not of this world will you promise you won't tell another soul about it?" Tom asked Marilyn.

"Y-You do know something? Yes? Something you kept hidden?" Marilyn asked as she grabbed Tom's hand. Tom nodded his head.

"Yes, I promise, I promise." Marilyn promised as quickly as she could. Tom nodded towards Mezelin still floating in the air. She made her way behind Marilyn's back and tapped her shoulder lightly. Marilyn looked back; her face looked as she saw a ghost.
