Severus Snape sat in his classroom overseeing the latest of Harry Potter's detentions with him. Currently the boy was scrubbing the cauldrons with a toothbrush.
By Merlin he hated the brat. Not because he thought he was arrogant like his father but because the boy was a constant reminder that he was the reason Lily was dead.
He was startled from his thoughts by the sudden appearance of a large black book on his desk with the words 'The Rules.' on the cover and a letter on top. Snape raised an eyebrow and looked to see if Potter had noticed any thing but he hadn't.
Overwhelmed by curiosity, Snape checked if the note or book had any traps. They didn't, so he picked up the note and read
To whoever reads these words,
I am a member of a raise of beings known as the Monitors. It is our job to observe and document the infinite realities of the Multiverse.
However while my colleagues are more concerned about making sure that the hero always wins and the villains always lose, I am not.
To that end i have begun to aid villains by bestowing upon them the power to alter reality to the whim and get the upper hand. As you might have realised by now, that means you have been recognised as a villain of your reality, and so this book is your means of alteration.
Anything you write in this book will immediately become reality once you finish a sentence with a full stop. You will be the only one who remembers the old reality although you will gain memories of the new one you create.
