You try to remember the man's words as you make your way to your last class for the day. You sit down in your usual spot behind your friend Anne. She turns to you and begins to say something before noticing the bruise on your forehead. Embarrassed by the bruise, you quickly dart your eyes away from her.
"What happened?!" she asks, leaning forward to get a better look.
"It's nothing," you respond. Still trying to remember what the man said. As the bell rings once again, signaling time for class to start, Anne turns toward the front of the class.
The teacher walks to the front of the class. He's a goofy looking man in his early 40's. He likes wearing odd colored shirts. His ties always have ridiculous patterns. He wears the clothes that you walk past and wonder who could possibly buy those. As you're chuckling to yourself about your teacher's clothing choices, it hits you.
"I have given you a power. You can swap bodies with any person you want, but there's a catch. However, the only way to swap is to look somebody in the eyes. Be careful, and have fun." As you recall his words, you can't help but think how silly that sounds. He must have been messing with you. How could that be possible? Still, you can't help but feel as though his words were true.
Halfway through the class, your teacher assigned group work to be completed in groups of at least two people. Before you had a chance to look around, Anne turned her desk to face yours and began examining your forehead again. You dart your eyes away once again.
"Are you sure you're all right? What even happened?" she asked.
