It was on a Monday morning, approximately 6:30 in the morning in a dark room with its curtains drawn, that Lorenda woke up to the sound of her alarm blaring.
She yawned and silenced it, but something felt off. Lorenda had always been a chubby woman, used to feeling the faint jiggle in her arms, but today it felt extra jiggly, like she had been stung my some poisonous insect and it had swollen up.
But Lorenda shrugged it off, for it wasn't uncommon for ones limbs to feel heavy when you just woke up, right?
She threw away the covers and attempted to get up, only for her to struggle to do so. It felt like a boulder was attached to her stomach, preventing her from rising from her bed, but after some effort, she managed to get to her feet.
With heavy footfalls, she made her way to the bathroom, yawning. Lorenda swore she could feel her her hips brush the doorframe as she entered.
Lorenda flicked the switch to turn on the lights in her bathroom. She stared into her mirror....or at least, she thought she did.
At first she thought that this was some kind of practical joke, that someone had cut out a whole in her wall and now some bovine, with chipmunk cheeks and a double chin, was staring back at her.
But when she moved, the other bovine moved. When she reached out her hand to touch her face, the other bovine did the exact same thing.
No, this wasn't some elaborate prank. Lorenda was staring at her own reflection!
"W-what?" she asked in confusion, studying her own body in growing panic.
Just yesterday she was a slightly overweight cow, but this morning she was suddenly straight-up morbidly obese.
The usual blue pajamas, the ones fit her perfectly, were now hugged her frame uncomfortably tight. Her flesh threatening to rip the sleepwear to pieces as it bulged outwards from every opening.
The buttons on her pajamas struggled to stay fastened as her engorged breasts put a huge amount of stress on them. As a matter of fact, she could already see some of those buttons had popped off previously.
Lorenda stepped back, hyperventilating, her panic reaching its breaking point.
She screamed.
"LORENDA!" she heard her mother call from down the hall, obviously hearing her daughters scream of terror.
She barged into the room.....
