Chapter #4

Jeff went to see a friend recovering from the flu.

It was Mark's first day home, after he'd been... or rather after she'd been discharged from hospital as no longer infectious. Jeff was curious to see what Mark looked like now, and what new name she'd chosen for herself.

He wanted to stand by one of his oldest friends, all too aware of the stigma that came with this disease. Some chose to use the roving clouds of infection as an opportunity. Craving the chance to experience the feminine side of life. Others dreaded it, as the most humiliating form of contagion.

It's double damage on infected men, and the impact it had on born women, meant that some argued that simply being a woman, was a lowering of status. With bimbodom following as a natural consequence. There was a strong swing towards rejecting infected men, as not real women, and a political will to back them up.

One political fire-brand, had disappeared rather suddenly from the limelight. Only to be discovered by the press after a few months. She'd apparently worried so much about discovery she been careless, and infected a second time. At least, she no longer cared about her sex, or any political opinions. Barbi Braithwaite was a happy bimbo, and oblivious to her own history.

Ironically, some viewed that as a conspiracy to silence a political view. But Barbi, formerly William, or Billy to his friends had many followers eager to spout the same views, and call for the isolation of bimbos, and the increased tax burden they caused.

Knowing he shouldn't he still hoped that Mark had turned into an attractive woman... Just for Mark's sake...

Heart in his throat, he walked up to his friends front door. His finger shook before he pressed the door-bell.

The woman who opened the door to him was breath-taking.

"Mark...." he asked uncertainly.

"Hi, Jeff." She answered with a broad smile, "Though, I go by Marcy nowadays."

A stray gust of wind reminding Marcy that she wasn't dressed for public showing. Jeff had to rip his gaze from her firm, full bust. Eyes returning to Marcy's face, it was him who was blushing.

Marcy shrugged, "... I get that a lot now." she said, "It's still unnerving, how obvious men are..." her voice tailing off, before, "Come in, Come in..." she beckoned him inside.
