She gets a tiki curse in season 1.

"You're going to be my good luck charm, aren't you Mr. Tiki?"

When Beth has missed the instructions on where to go, she had also missed the warning by Chris, to not take ANYTHING from Boney Island, as the place had a dreaded curse.

During the trip, she had grabbed a small Tiki head, unaware of it's curse.

And now, lying in bed, busy reading, Beth failed to notice the slight glow coming from it's eyes.

Yawning, Beth rolled over. "Ahhhhh, It's getting late, I should go to bed. Good night, lucky tiki."

As the chubby girl started to fall asleep, a soft gurgle from her stomach marked a hint of what was to come.
