(Minor hints for Marianne and Byleth’s A support. No major spoilers.)
As tough as Byleth normally was with her students, she was particularly soft with Marianne. The downtrodden girl seemed beat up by life, and the professor wanted to make things a bit easier for her outside of battle. Their tea times together were much more regular than her other students, mostly because she felt the need to check up on Marianne often. Her reasons were currently just minor suspicions, but she enjoyed these quiet moments, even if the blue haired girl wasn't much of a conversationalist.
"I think we found the fourth," Raphael said, stating the obvious.
"My goddess…" Ignatz gasped. "Marianne's so… big."
Marianne eyed the tea cup below her. The soft scent of lavender blend tea wafted through the air. It was always nice of the professor to go out of her way and brew her favorite. Her gaze then drifted towards the plate of scones. She has skipped lunch earlier, mostly because the line in the dining hall was bustling with people. It wouldn't hurt to grab a treat or two. After all, Professor Byleth had a habit of bringing too many treats. She’d just hate to see any of it go to waste.
For the ant-like Deer below, the irony was not lost on them that their meekest classmate and healer was the one currently threatening their lives. Marianne was more than intimidating at their current size, as she could easily kill them several times over without even thinking about it.
“H-hey, Leonie, stay put, you’re going to fall!” Lysithea nagged, rushing to the edge of the scone. A sense of vertigo washed over her as she looked over the steep cliff of flaky dessert.
“Nuh-uh!” Leonie shot back, scaling down the wall as if it were a mountain climb. “You can stay up there and get eaten, but I’m getting out of here.”
Hilda stepped up to the edge. “Ugh, this would be so much easier if my wyvern shrunk with me.” She knelt down and also began making her way down the baked good.
“Hey! Just where are you going!?” Lysithea cried, realizing that she would be the only one left stuck on the scone. She hesitated again as she gazed over the edge. It wasn’t that she disliked heights or anything, it’s just that her two crests, while making her magically gifted, also kept her physically feeble. She lacked the constitution and the strength to make it the whole way down. The last thing she wanted was to end up as a stain on a pristine porcelain plate.
Instead, she just decided to stay put at the top of the mountain and wait for help.
“I think it’s just lovely that you go out of your way to catch extra fish for the kittens around the monastery, Professor,” Marianne said. “They might be stray, but they deserve love and affection as well.”
The professor nodded, taking a sip from her own cup. She leaned forward as she placed it back down.
“Whoa, that might be the most I’ve heard Marianne speak,” Raphael commented. He was a bit too distracted to notice his massive professor’s chest coming straight towards him.
“Raphael, run!” Ignatz cried, turning around, and running from the encroaching shadow. The larger student did the same, surprisingly catching up to the archer and barely escaping being crushed under the professor’s generous bust.
The pair found themselves just inches away from the giant pair of breasts. They caught their breath, just glad that they hadn’t met their early end just yet.
Then Raphael got an idea. “Yo, Ignatz, we can climb her necklace thingy!”
Ignatz blanched. “Are—Are you sure, Raphael? W-wouldn’t the professor get mad if she finds us… on her chest”
Raphael sprung to his feet. “Nah, she’d understand,” he answered as he grabbed Ignatz’ arm and practically dragged the weaker boy over to the cloth hanging off the metal. “You’re gonna want to hold on.”
Ignatz did as he was told, gripping onto the pink fabric tightly as Byleth leaned back, lifting the two high in the air. His stomach jumped up into his chest, making it hard for him to breathe, and sending a nauseous sensation. He closed his eyes and gripped tighter, not even wanting to think about the fall from this height. If he didn’t die on impact, he would most likely land on her lap and get lost in her intricate leggings.
“I noticed that you like looking over the bridge,” Byleth said. “It’s quite a lovely view.”
Marianne looked down at her hands, watching as the drink in her hands shook slightly with her hands. “Um, yes… The view is... nice.”
Meanwhile, Claude and Lorenz continued their wild sprint across the dining table. Time was certainly of the essence as the pair of giant women above made small talk, letting the tea cool down. It wouldn’t be long before one of them decided to fill the gap of silence with a treat.
As much as I like the professor, I don’t think I’m going to go to another one of her tea parties ever again, Claude thought, his heart racing from his impromptu cardio session and the adrenaline kicking in. By the time the pair mad it to the dessert tray, Leonie and Hilda were roughly halfway down their climb.
“Are there any good books you’ve read recently?” Byleth asked, gently leading the conversation around her shy student’s interests. “I’ve been looking for something new.”
Marianne nodded, some light returning to her eyes. “I’m in the middle of one now. It’s about a long lost princess in Valentia.”
“It sounds wonderful,” Byleth said, lazily stirring the spoon around her cup. While the slight grinding noise was almost too quiet for her to notice, it was a loud, painful screech for the shrunken students down below.
“Gah, stop that, Teach!” Claude yelled, shielding his ears. He wasn’t sure if it was his ears ringing or the stirring spoon.
“She can’t hear you, genius!” Yelled a voice from above. The pair of boys looked up to find Lysithea still at the top of the scone mountain.
Claude cupped his hands over his mouth. “What are you still doing up there? Don’t tell me you’re also afraid of heights.”
“N-no!” Lysithea countered, unintentionally sounding like a child. “I just don’t want to fall.”
Leonie hit the ground first, jumping from just high enough to make a safe landing. Hilda followed suit.
“Catch me, Claude!” the pink haired girl called as she let go of the wall and free fell. The house leader simply let her hit the ground. “You dick!”
“Consider it payback for my first shrinking incident,” he said, helping her up after a quick laugh.
“H-hey, I’m still up here!” Lysithea called, getting everyone’s attention again.
"Just warp yourself down!" Claude yelled.
"I would if I could," she argued. "Don't make me warp you up here with me."
