Dimitri was quite aware of his potty needs and had rather good self-control. When he was first introduced to the potty, he almost immediately adjusted to it with no accidents in his pants at all… for the first two days. The third day, he didn’t make it to the potty even just once.
From then on, it continued to be mixed like that. On some days, Dimitri happily used the potty all by himself, on others he would pee his pants seconds after his mom or dad had asked him if he needed the bathroom. When asked why, Dimitri just shrugged and smiled. It seemed, some days he just didn’t feel like using the potty at all. Putting him in briefs didn’t seem to deter him from treating them like diapers, nor seemed putting him in diapers to not make him use the potty – if he so chose. So for now, he was still in pull-ups for the day and diapers at night.
