Shadow blinked a few times as his strength returned to him however he was quite confused when his point of view suddenly changed as he was looking at his own body leaning against a wall. “What is in this-“ Shadow stopped speaking mid sentence as he could tell the voice he heard was not his own but of the young fox’s which would explain why his body looked taller than he remembered, “Did these helmets switch our bodies?!” The current hedgehog tried pressing the button upon his helmet once again but nothing happened when suddenly the two heard the familiar ringmaster use a speaker in the helmets to speak to them. “Hello my dear customers if you’re hearing this you’ve realized these helmets have allowed you to swap bodies and now they aren’t working but that is on purpose as the purpose of this tent is to make those who come in to truly understand each other better.” Shadow was growing furious while Tails was quite nervous wondering how they could not only get out of this situation unscathed but with his body back, “Complete the tent and the helmets will return you to your original bodies but fail or quit will result in you being stuck in your new bodies the only way you can truly get through this is teamwork so be prepared and have fun!” Shadow in his anger punched a nearby table which in his usual body would’ve normally resulted in it breaking however Tails wasn’t as physically strong so instead the table stayed in tact as Shadow waved his borrowed hand in pain. “YOWCH!” Tails stopped Shadow and tried calming him down but the current fox was having none of it as he went through the only door that wasn’t the entrance intent on getting this done as quickly as possible so he could get his body back and get his hands on the ringmaster.
On the other side was a small room with a robot sitting a table that had three cups on top, “Hello circus goers you need to pass my test in order to make it to the next room!” Shadow was prepared to attack but Tails stepped in front of him to at least let the robot finish, “I have a single die I will place under one of these cups and if you call the correct cup three times you pass however if you fail six times, three strikes for each of you, you will lose the tent challenge and may I add each time you get a strike you lose something significant.” Shadow huffed before asking a question, “What happens if we decide to destroy you instead?” “Oh that would result in instant disqualification of the tent challenge locking you into those bodies.” Shadow growled as he shoved past Tails intent on trying the game first, “Okay Shadow let’s-“ “Shut it brat you got us into this mess I’ll get us out of it.” Tails sighed as he watched the robot start by placing the die down on the middle of the table and suddenly his arms moved at light speed as the two struggled to keep track of the die before he suddenly stopped, “Now where is the die?” Shadow pointed at the cup furthest left but noticed Tails pointed at the middle one as the odds of them getting through with three correct picks before getting six wrong ones improved greatly if they picked different cups with the only risks being if neither got the right cup or the severity of one of them choosing the wrong cup was too great as the robot revealed the correct cup to be…
