Alec was sitting on the couch, shirtless, watching television as Dean came out of his room. "Morning, bro," Alec said with a smile. He knew Dean was running late as he usually was out of the house and headed to work before Alec had even taken a shower. Dean grunted under his breath, knowing Alec was teasing him for being late.
"You alright? You seem kinda out of it" Alec asked with genuine concern as he could tell Dean was not his best self. "Just, you know, hungover," Dean replied. Alec was examining the extra flesh around his belly which had the slightest jiggle when Dean walked. Dean and Alec had been friends for years and Alec recalled Dean's six-pack abs that he had up until a month ago. Alec was always a little on the chubbier, stockier, broader side. Dean was more lean muscle whereas Alec was slightly more thick.
Dean noticed Alec's line of sight towards his stomach. He stumbled back into his room to grab a shirt to wear. Alec just snickered, he could tell Dean was trying to hide his weight gain. Alec was certainly still bigger than Dean and had no shame in having a little bit an extra cushion. Alec thought about saying something but thought it was better to just keep his mouth shut.
Dean walked back out to the living room and looked toward the kitchen.
