"Oh my God this is a disaster!" David shouted from the living room.
Patrick just smiled as he poured his coffee into his cup in the kitchen getting ready for the day. David was having one of his meltdowns he assumed because his pants were a little snug or something like that. David had been like this for a week after he had learned that he had been gaining weight. While not the athletic type what so ever, the thought of him gaining weight caused his anxiety to spike. No matter how many times Patrick tried to console him it was usually best left to David to his devices no amount of consoling would help him when he got in one of his moods. Patrick drank his coffee as he felt the warm bitter drink pour down his throat, he felt himself waking up and getting the energy he needed to go through the day. All the whole hearing loud footsteps coming his way, Patrick braced himself for his husband's attitude.
David charged over to his husband. Clad in his underwear and a t-shirt, with a pair of pants clutched in his hand. "This don't fit anymore." He said clearly annoyed.
Patrick sighed "Perhaps they shrunk in the wash dear."
"No, no way, I made sure that of that, I'm clearly gaining weight gain." David said as he began to catastrophize his situation.
Patrick knew that getting David to calm down would be near to impossible, so he decided to let his husband play out his meltdown till he calmed down. David was getting more and more irritated when more of his clothes were getting tight. Even the underwear David had on right now seemed a little tight, as it clung to his calves. David was by no means fat, more like a little chubby. Of course Patrick had been no stranger to gaining weight either, a small belly had began to pool in his lamp and was starting to see that his clothes were getting tighter as well but, he was laid back about it seeing it as something that would inevitably happen to the two of them, though he had been liking his new heft not to mention he thought it was hot that David was putting on weight but he knew that was not the time or place for that. "Why don't we buy some new jeans after-"
"I don't want new jeans hun, I want my jeans to fit me!" David said, not yelling but his voice still showed distress, as he stormed out.
Patrick sighed he wasn't sure what he was going to do about this, he just wanted his husband to be comfortable in his body but just wasn't sure just how to go about it....
