Powering through, you reach and flail in essential blindness. You were desperate to not let your future mother in law down in your first interaction with her. You didn't have much success when you were able to see, so you weren't filled with much hope of success while being smothered by Kimberly's feet.
Eventually, your hands came across a button. You blindly pressed as hard as you could until you heard a beep. When you let go, you saw green light out of your periphery vision where there was just darkness before. Success! You heard Kimberly gasp from her seat high above you in surprise and delight.
"Well thank you Jake! It seems like you know your way around down there in more ways than one," she said with a giggle. "You feel so good there though, I hope you don't mind staying there for a few more moments as I finish up here...." she said trailing off. It wasn't really much of a question. You did your best to use your hands and body to rub against her sweaty soles, which Kimberly seemed to appreciate.
".....and send......and then.....one more thing...." your future mother in law muttered to herself as she worked. "Print.....and.....done!" she said happily finally pushing herself away from the desk. She collected a stack of papers from the printer and finally retrieved you from the floor and set you on her desk. You tried your best to compose yourself while Kimberly ignored you, typing a few things into her phone. Before long, Cassie and her sisters joined their mother in the home office.
"What's up mom?" Cassie asked. Her mother just smiled in return.
"I know you just got here Cassie, but I hope you haven't unpacked yet. Thanks to your fiance's help, I was able to get back on the internet and print out some confirmation papers for each of you. It's been so long since you girls spent time together, I thought it would be nice to start your summer with a week away at Atlantica Resort!" she said happily while passing out the paperwork.
Maddie and Sophie squealed in delight while Cassie looked a little uncomfortable.
"But mom, what about Jake?" she asked worried. You swallowed hard, in nervous anticipation of Kimberly's response.
"The two of you have your whole lives to spend together, and with you three out of the house it will give me a good chance to get to know him properly. Don't worry about it, I'll take excellent care of him. You don't mind, right Jake?" she asked, giving you a no-nonsense look.
"I.....ah...." you stammer..."No, of course not. Have fun sweetie," you smile at your fiance.
"Ok, well, if you're sure that you'll be fine Jake," Cassie responds with a small smile on her face. You give her a reassuring nod. "Just be careful with him mom," she pleads. Kimberly just smiles in return and nods back.
