Butch Luther Ironhammer is the four-and-a-half-year-old son of Harold and Maxine. Butch is big, strong, and mean, and has given himself a reputation for being a big bully. He hates babies, and is not nice to kids his own age, either. In fact, he's been kicked out of preschool several times for his violent behavior. Butch rules the playground and tries to keep "stupid babies" off of it, but what he has in muscle, he lacks in brains. Thanks in part to being a preschool drop-out, he can't read or even count to three. He loves meats and sweets, but hates vegetables, as he thinks they're only for girls and rabbits. Butch does not like being called fat, even though he is fat because he doesn't have the healthiest eating habits.
