Chapter #4Mitsurugi by: teniko   Panting heavily, Mitsurugi finished off the last kobold in the temple, his hand raw from swinging.
"Damn it... if I still had Gram this would of been easy. Well, I have to keep pushing forward" He winced, wandering forward into the next room.
He decided to do the quest alone, wanting to prove to himself that he was still able to be the main character of the story, perhaps then Aqua would respect him. The guy looked around the room for a moment, there was rumour that there was a portal to the gods in this temple- if he could perhaps get to Aqua's throne again he might be able to beg her to give him back his sword. Maybe the Aqua he saw was just a doppleganger?
Either way, he had to know the truth. Only the chosen one could enter this far, the isekai protagonist had passed the previous tests. Now, he could finally see if this was a rumor or not.
As soon as he entered the room, a flash of light shone out, his body fell down, gasping for air for a moment.
He slowly- opened his eyes.
A dark misty room, checkered floor. He looked around, amazed as he recognised the chair his goddess had once sat at. This was Aqua's room, the place where he got his blade! He had made it!
Wandering around carefully, he tried to call out for Aqua.
"My goddess! I have finally made it!"
His voice bounced down the magical space. He waited a moment, before a voice shone back- the voice he had been hoping for.
"Hu? Kazuma? Did you just call me goddess?" Aqua's voice rang out. Not the exact response he expected. He waited a moment, listening to a one sided conversation.
"What? No I'm not crazy! No! Don't take my boooooze!"
Mitsuragi started looking around,
"I'm dressed! What more do you want? WAIT- do you want me to be undressed? Noooo!"
Alarmbells rang out, his goddess was in danger? What is happening? Mitsurugi rushed into the darkness, trying to follow where the voice came from.
"I always wear panties! Do you need me to show you them? W-what is with that face? I wasn't going to show you them!"
Light- shone out over the running knight.
Suddenly- he found himself in a room- high up on the ceiling. His eyes skimmed around towards Kazuma, standing over his goddess Aqua.
"KAZUMA!" He tried to yell, but no voice came out. In fact, he couldn't feel his arms or legs. His body was no more.
Little did the knight and Aqua know, the useless goddess still had the power to reincarnate people in her room. As a goddess, she was forever linked to that realm- it was supposedly closed off to prevent any accidental reincarnations.
