“This is crazy, having the power to control reality. As tempting as it is to test it now, I really don’t want Weiss to get mad at me again.” Ruby said as she closed the book and took it with her out the library.
Ruby was always an awkward child because of her love of weapons and training. No one wanted to be her friend unless they got to meet her sister Yang. But when she came to Beacon, she thought this is her fresh start and to show how strong she truly is. Unfortunately, it was a little rough with her partner Weiss and Blake who were very distant at first before warming up to her.
Even after being a team for a while, Ruby still felt like they never respected her because of her age. She kept thinking this and never noticed she bumped into Cinder and they both fell.
“Oh I’m so stupid. Sorry about that, I wasn’t thinking and watching where I was going-“ a finger on her lips ended her banter.
Cinder chucked a little before responding to her “Don’t worry about it. It’s alright accidents happen all the time.”
Ruby thinks about walking away before asking her “Hey Cinder, do I deserve to be a leader?”
Cinder was curious about this so she responded “Well, my first reaction to you was that of an immature child but after watching you lead your team. Overcoming their weaknesses and bringing out their strengths is no easy feat. So I think you are a good leader. Even if there are troubled times, you can do it after all that’s what friends are for right.”
Ruby was happy after hearing this and thanked her before rushing to her room and decided to make something that would allow her to alter others. Cinder was right she is a good leader and they don’t appreciate what she does for them.
But after hearing Cinders words, she decided to use her power and make something to make her life much more interesting. She was caught between making a matchmaker app and an Altering app.
