Ruby really wanted an item to play around with. It provided a little structure and wasn’t so powerful that she would get bored of it. Enough rules so she would have to think about how to maximize the fun. And it’s not like the internet wasn’t full of amazing ideas. Plus movies had so many fun options with magical devices or science that was pretty much magic.
One item would be something like a universal remote.
It would be a powerful device that could manipulate people. Like using the Pause button would freeze people in time, volume would affect how loud they were, and rewind/fast forward would affect their speed. There were so many comedic movies Ruby saw with that remote. She could do so much mischief with it.
Another idea was an Altering app.
This device would allow the user to scan someone and modify their information. Ruby could target her sister Yang and change her name to something like Cookie Stealer. She never did forgive her sister for taking the last cookie that one time. Or change her appearance, personality, all sorts of things. She could make Weiss happy with a new personality.
And the list she made just kept going with more ideas.
