It seems the building was a city to itself. Shops, food, fitness, relaxation... all there at the tenants' fingertips, and therefore only a short journey for you. Despite your size, you still only half-believed what Ms. Porter had told you. The threats were heavy in your mind, but surely none of that was legal... or real... was it?
A shake of your head cleared your mind. There was so much to explore; it would take days to see everything, even if you were still your normal height. You wished you'd been given a brochure at least, but the skyscraper-sized map in front of you would have to do. You squinted, trying to read the text and symbols.
Logically, most of the building was made up of apartments, and each floor of homes had its own gym, common area, and cafe. Additionally, entire floors were devoted to particular specialties. For instance, one contained a selection of restaurants, from elegant fine dining with strange names, to exotic worldwide delicacies, to the same fast food joints that could be found near your old apartment. Another floor held a movie theater, an arcade, a bowling alley, and a nightclub, and yet the floor above it contained libraries, art galleries, and coffee shops. Still, true to the advertisement, there was enough room for a floor with multiple pools and hot tubs.
Fortunately, you didn't have to climb stairs; the elevators contained tiny controls installed precisely at your height. Your finger stood poised to press the button of your selection.
