You thought on the second option but being close to her hoof seemly likely a horrible idea since she could move on any moment and that would involve getting accidentally squished by said hoof, it come to the realization that going and try to get on her tail and climb it was the safest of the two..

You quickly made your move and went for the curly tail almost touching the ground which, fortunately, was within your range, you grabbed one of the strand of dak blue tail hair and started climbing it as fast as you could with a strong force of will on not looking down and holding up when it sudden move, only to restart when it remained still.

It didn't took you very long, though, as you were getting near to the little stubby nub which was her true tail and soon you'll be able to climb her back without much issue.
