Take a Shower, You Smell

As hungry as you were, you decided that a shower was in order. Last night must’ve been pretty warm because a quick whiff of your armpits had even you gagging. And if you thought you smelled bad, your mother would likely be even worse in her criticism of your BO.

The last thing you wanted was a lecture from your mom about hygiene in front of Susie’s giggling form or Victoria’s disgusted, sneering face.

You grabbed some clean underwear, some jeans, socks, and a black t-shirt with a picture of the Chevrolet logo on it and made your way to the bathroom.

You couldn’t help but glance at your new Omamori charm as you left. It still looked like it was glowing softly.

Neat.

You walked down the hall, entered your bathroom and grimaced.

Bending over, you plucked the large, lacy red bra from the floor and tossed it in the hamper. Typical Victoria, leaving her sexy underwear all over the place.

“Honestly,” you grumbled as you turned the knob to turn on the shower, “she’s such a slob, just like Susie.”

Susie was ten years old, she kind of had an excuse. Victoria was nineteen, she had none, but your mother never chastised her over it. And as a result, Victoria had no issue leaving her dirty lingerie all over the place.

You sighed, stripped down to your skivvies and stepped into the warm spray.

You stood in the water for what felt like forever, enjoying the feeling of the water massaging your skin.

But as much as you wanted to enjoy the shower a bit longer, you just knew someone would be banging on the door for one reason or another. So you figured it was time to actually bathe yourself.

1. You wash your hair, but feel something a bit odd
