"I Think I'll take a look into the mixing vats. Maybe I'll find some unsafe ingredient or additive," Claire thought, deciding to follow the sign that pointed to the mixing vats.
She stepped through a door at the end of the corridor and was immediately hit by an overpoweringly sweet smell. She couldn't put her finger on what the smell was, but it seemed to be a combination of chocolate, sugar, fruit and any other variety of sweet treats.
The whole room was bathed in a bright, multicoloured glow, which seemed to be emanating from beneath her. As she stepped forward, the smell making her a little light headed, she found herself on a long catwalk overlooking multiple vats with many different coloured substances inside each of them. Automatic mixers worked to keep the contents in each vat churning around and well maintained.
Each vat was slightly different; one was completely green, another was blue, one was multicoloured, another seemed to be chocolate...they were absolutely enormous.
"Hmm...doesn't look like there is anything out of the ordinary with these. No extra chemicals, no additives, it just looks like a normal mixing room," Claire thought as she took a few numbers. She quickly pulled out her phone and snapped a few pictures, just in case.
"Though I can't assume that just by looking. I would have to get closer to confirm..." she said aloud before hearing a sudden creaking sound. "What was that?" she asked herself, as she heard more noises coming from outside of the room.
"That must be the night shift those guys were talking about. They must be coming in," she said, slowly backing away as she started to think over her options. She noticed a few protective suits hanging on a rack on the other side of the catwalk and started to move towards them. Perhaps she could pass herself off as a worker if she put one on? Then again, maybe she should have been wearing one anyway, was it safe to be in here, inhaling the sweet, sticky fumes from the vats beneath her?
As she made her way towards the suits, the catwalk creaked ominously under her feet...
