As Lana read the gold plague on the wall, she couldn't help but be reminded of the old movie she used to watch as a kid - An inventing room? A room filled with whacky and kooky machinery to make loads of yummy and colorful treats?
It was a dream come true for Lana to be here, so, with a quick look to her left and right to make sure no-one was watching, Lana snuck into the room, gently closing the door behind her.
And just as quickly as she entered, Lana's excitement faltered.
No huge whacky machines, no extremely long conveyor belts, not even a lot of colorful sheets to cover up some secret experimental candy makers... What Lana saw was a large room filled with empty desks, a lot of dry erase boards on the wall, a number of ingredients that were marked in a cabinet...
"Well, this is boring." Lana sighed as she began to walk between the desks.
So much for that childhood wonderment, Lana knew that there was no way that an actual inventing room would be like the movies, but secretly she really wished that there would've been SOME fun in this room. She was in a Candy Factory, the stuff that when she was younger was the stuff of dreams for many kids thanks to the movies and the promise of never ending chocolate, sideway moving elevators, and rivers of chocolate.
But this?
This was just unfair and if only...
Lana stopped when she came to one of the desks - funnily enough, it was one of the few desks that had something on them - and what appeared to be two single pieces of candy that were kept in small containers atop of some documents that had a lot of technical jargon on them, but had the large words in red "PROTOTYPE".
One of the candies looked like a small blue gumball, Lana hadn't had a gumball in ages and there was something very tempting about the sugary treat that sat in front of her.
The other candy looked rather odd, it was a weird shape of having some colorful protrusions that mixed together in the middle of the candy. If Lana had to hazard a guess, it could've been a gummy-like candy, or maybe a weird looking jawbreaker?
Lana's stomach then decided to chime in... She knew she was to be a tastetester and so she decided to skimp out on breakfast in order to make sure she didn't get too full on her first day. So, with another look to her left and right, Lana eyed the two candies.
