Both paths felt equally dangerous, but you had no choice.
You had to move now. Taking your chances, you quietly sneaked into the clothes store. Annie was none the wiser.
As soon as you set foot in the clothes store, you were overwhelmed by a strange sense of wonder. The entire store was completely dark, yet the morning sunlight sneaked in through the cracks and crevices of the mall.
So wherever the light struck, there was a beautiful orange radiance.
As nice as the place looked, you had to keep moving on. Under the cover of darkness, you slowly pressed onward. It was then that you realized that, save for the rustling of your own footsteps, the store was deathly quiet.
Suddenly, you heard the sound of something heavy stomping the carpet floor.
Your head whipped around. Just behind the counter was a tall figure moving about in the darkness. The giant child briefly walked past a broken ceiling, casting their figure in light. It was a girl. She had been roused from her slumber by your intrusion...
...and now she was looking for you.
Fear crept up your spine--you need to hide. Your eyes frantically look around the store, and only two choices come to mind. There is a small closet you can hide in, but you don’t know if it leads to any exits. You could accidentally trap yourself in there. There is also a small pile of unused clothes, big enough to hide under.
