Blaze nodded, trying to ignore the rising anxiety inside. "I agree. I would rather die than become one of Eggman's test subjects."
"I-I'm sure we won't have to go that far..." Tails said, smiling nervously, "But I'll need to get whatever information I can on the experiment. Give me a sec, I'm gonna call Sonic..."
"H-hang on!" Blaze said, flushing, "What do you need him for? I'm sure I can do it."
"Blaze..."
"Tails, this is one of the most humiliating things to have ever happened to me." Blaze started, her hand on her forehead, "I would like as few people involved as possible."
"I understand, but I need data from Eggman's database, and if I have Sonic run to an old hideout to patch me in, then I can work on analyzing this energy in the meantime."
"Then I can do it!"
"That's a really bad idea, Blaze." Tails frowned, "The more you use this energy, the more unstable it might become."
"Tails, I have trained in my powers since I was a little girl. I'm certain I can keep things under control."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm..." Blaze trailed off. She wasn't sure. Maybe she should involve Sonic? As embarrassing as that would be, it wouldn't do her any good to not take this seriously...
