It was a long trek towards Kilo's dog bed. And you couldn't just run. The carpet was too thick to be able to keep that sort of footing. If you had something to compare it to, you might say, maybe snow, if snow wasn't cold. It was really getting to you, the distance to the bed, but after a few sit-downs, making sure a big Lmou or Pata wasn't coming your way, you had finally made it, and you could take a breather.
You assessed the bed. It was large, but not impossible to clamber up. You could hear Kilo's soft breathing, and smell a faint musk wafting out from the only point of entry under those blankets. Trying and lifting the edges of a small child's blanket at this size was just impossible. His yellow tail, the only part of him sticking out of the thing, had a crack where you could push into.
Fuck it. You didn't have much better of a choice, right? You moved to the extremely warm tail and trailed along the side to duck into an opening. A few moments later, you were on the other side. The blanket allowed just a little light to come through, so while it was pretty dark, as your eyes adjusted it was possible to see at least a meter in front of you.
A lot of the blanket was held up by his fat body, kind of like a circus tent, with the long pole in the middle being so fat and chubby that it took up most of the tent space.
It was musky as hell in here, and smelled very dirty. You could just about make out the kobold's toes in front of you. It was all making it hard to think straight, in more ways than one~
