Kirsten pushed open the front door to the general purpose tinies shop. Inside was shelves and isles that contained live in glass enclosures for many different tiny people. In a way it was like a zoo specifically for the shrunken.
It was a nice treat considering how bored Kirsten was at her apartment. She saw many different types of tiny people that caught her interest. It seemed unfair that she could only afford three.
The store itself was clean, well lit, and seemed to be recently refurbished. A light brown polished wooden floor reflected the ceiling lights. And soft music played in the background.
When Kirsten took a closer look at one of the glassed off habitats, the rice grain sized people rushed off to hide in the decorative plant life at the back of their enclosure. She noticed that this store likes to segregate their tinies via race and past employment.
Kirsten herself was a 25 year old hair dresser with stylish blond and curly hair. She was dressed in a snappy leather short skirt and jacket and wore black boots with a heel. She always saw her colleagues play with other tiny people and she thought she would also get in on the fun.
“Can I help you?” Kirsten turned around to see one of the store employees offering to help her. She is a minimum wage teenager with rich parents who was probably saving up money to buy some more bleach blond hair dye and fake tan, thought Kirsten.
