"There's random building numbah three. Hi building number three." Song fingered gun the beige structure as she moved down the sidewalk. She looked down at her phone to see if she was still on the right path to her destination.
"I didn't want to stay here for more than a day,but it looks like I am." Song mumbled under her breath. The Korean woman only wanted to visit one of the town's attraction, but fate had other plans. Her car's tires were totaled by nails--who left nails in the middle of a road--which had stranded the young woman. Her car,now in the shop, would take about another day or so of repairment. And from that Song decided to continue her look around town.
She could hear a group of youths talk about her in hushed whispers as she turned a corner. It was probably due to the fact she resembled a character from some popular game everyone loved. The woman's name was Devo and she was from Overlord or something. Anyways, she didn't resemble that woman at all. Her hair was black, not brown! True she did stream, but she did only exploration and horror. True she did wear colorful clothing, but only to help her get identified if she got hurt. True she did chew gum and do selfies....anyways she was different from that character.
She continued her way towards her destination, while at the same time she pondered where she was. Great Tracts was supposedly the most haunted medium town in America. A very narrow superlative but one that did have some merit to it. With a cemetary, fifteen noted buildings, one abandoned factory, one campfire story woods and mountains, and assortment of 'Mom and Pop' stores, it was easy to see why this was the case.
Song plopped into her mouth a small piece of gum,she steadily blew it up until it popped. A small ding from her device told her she had arrived at her target. It was a rather average looking building, with architecture a little on the anachronistic side.It was a style that hadn't been seen since the nineteen-fifties. Song scratched her head for a bit before she soon walked up the steps.
"Hello?" She called out.
"Oh hey." A young brunette woman spoke. She pointed at a sign to her right. Song blinked for a moment, she moved her hand down to her pocket until she found a Hamilton. She gave it gently the receptionist.
"Going to look the Hallard House, huh?" The brunette woman said. "Seeing what the crazy inventor-ringmaster-philanthropist was all about?"
"Well yeah when you say it like, who would ever want to see what this old creep has in his house?" Song replied. "So is this place really as haunted as they say? Can I really see the Hallard family and associates mingle in the halls on a cool day?"
"Maybe. If you see them, tell them that 'Jane' would like to have a word with them. Seems like they keep knocking down picture frames." Jane evidently joked. Song nodded and was about to travel deeper into the house right until she was stopped by Jane's voice.
"Oh,and also, don't take any pictures or videos inside our buildings. This place doesn't have cameras so I'm banking that you have a smidge of integrity."
"What happens if I do take a picture?"
Jane just gave a Song a slight shrug and grin. She creepily wiggled her fingers at Song.
"The ghosts will follow you until you leave this town."
