Didi thought for a moment, then she remembered when Tommy took off his clothes to be naked like Spike, as well as Dr. Lipschitz's advice on how to deal with the situation.

"The spontaneous shedding of clothing by infants is a natural outgrowth of their desire to control their physical environment and explore their personal space."

In other words, it's perfectly normal for a baby to be naked when he or she grows up.

"Okay, Dil. I guess you can spend one hour naked in the playpen." Didi told Dil, who cooed happily. Didi carried Dil into the living room and sat him down in his purple prop-up pillow in the playpen, where Tommy and Spike were.
