The Domlinh Monastery is the semi-mythical place that is the supposed origin of all the teachings of the order of monks that you belong to. No one knows if it ever truly existed, or if its a sort of conglomerate of all the teachings that eventually coalesced into the training method you went through to become a monk.

If it did exist at one time, it is doubtful it still exists. But there are still legends and traveler's stories about it and, like many a young monk before you, you feel a compelling urge to discover the truth about Domlinh.

The legends say that if Domlinh exists, or ever existed, it was in a remote valley in the mountainous regions in the extreme northern portion of the province of Gorreval, the most northern province of the Kingdom. Gorreval is the most isolated province in the Kingdom, and the least populated. The only settlement of any size in Gorreval is Nudachanik, which is just inside the southern boundary of Gorreval. Nudachanik is primarily a garrison town for the Royal troops stationed there, and also acts as a trading station for merchants who come to buy whatever the trappers and miners bring in.

Nudachanik is a near lawless frontier town, and beyond its boundaries, well...only the especially greedy or mentally unbalanced try to earn a living in the wilderness of Gorreval.

Perhaps trying to find the lost monastery of Domlinh makes you one of the mentally unbalanced, but you're going to try anyway.
