Theoretically, every member of the Order of Allimac is to be chaste. In practice, initiates and newly promoted members must be chaste, whereas older, senior members of the Order are just required to be...discreet.

So when the alchemist the Order relied on needed hair from the mane of a unicorn, the Order was obviously going to have to send a virgin. Which in this case is you.
