A paladin whose skill and prowess is head and shoulders above their brothers and sisters in their chapter house.
But no one disputes that Lady Arswyn Dawnfire is the greatest champion the Phoenix Paladins have seen in decades. The fact that she had come to the Academy’s chapter house to recruit five novices to accompany her on her latest quest is an honor you never expected to receive.
They say Lady Dawnfire is as deadly as she is beautiful and, in her mid-thirties, she is very, very beautiful. Her coloration has changed over the years from when she first took the Oath. She now has hair the color of dark, burnished copper, eyes that are a molten red, and skin that is a dark rust color. But, if anything, the changes have made her more lovely.
The fact that, like you, Lady Dawnfire is the child of two human peasants, is one of your motivations to always excel.
It is perhaps immodest to say so, but it is nevertheless true that you are best novice Oarh of Flame paladin the Academy has produced in a long, long time. But the other four novices selected to go on this quest would be top of any class that didn’t have you in it.
There are Limigh and Jikigh, hill dwarves who are twin brothers and the only novices that don’t use swords (they use battle axes). There is Bonkai, a male tiefling who, because of his lineage, possesses a desire to burn out evil and corruption that dwarfs your own. And finally there is Zena.
Zena is a beautiful sun elf maiden who is arrogant, intolerable, frustrating…and who you have an undeniable attraction to. And as insufferable as she finds you, she is as equally attracted to you.
Romantic liaisons between Phoenix Paladins aren’t , but they are highly discouraged. When two Phoenix Paladins bond, it lasts a lifetime and they are a nigh irresistible force. When they don’t bond…
There are tales of entire ancient cities being destroyed by two quarreling Phoenix Paladin lovers.
By the by, each chapter house of the Oath of Flames has a priest or priestess of the Kingdom’s sun goddess to attend to the Chapter’s spiritual need, and the Academy Chapter House is no exception. The Academy’s Chapter House’s priest is a human male named Mirvan. Mirvan has just taken on a recently graduated cleric to serve as his assistant. Will this newly graduated cleric be joining the quest?  You have the following choices: 1. Yes 2. No indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
