He hadn't needed to be on the football field, for that influence to be felt. Looking over to Lindsay, he still found the appeal of a sexy woman's body could still distract.

Petra could see the shape of her reflection in the shine of Lindsay's embarrassing skirt. He saw how quickly Jeanie was typing, his years of coding giving him a speed that Petra couldn't challenge. Looking over to the impressive Judy, he recalled her from before. She already knew how to use her 'charms' to get what she wanted. Though she put it rather differently.

Judy was escalating with those bare shoulders, and her bust more on display. An unsettling inferiority gripped Petra as she looked Lindsay over. If she wanted to win, she'd need to play dirty.
Putting a sway into her hips, she sashayed over to the boss' door. A firm rap with her knuckles received a shouted 'Come In...', from Leo Carruthers.
Unsure how much feminine allure to put into her appeal for the promotion. She just strode over, and asked for it. Giving her experience (whatever it was), as the reason.
Leo's gaze rose to meet Petra's face, pausing only briefly on her neckline and the cleavage presented there. Petra suddenly realised, what Judy had meant. Her sex and sexuality wasn't something she'd brought to the negotiation... It was the other person... a police officer, with a threat of a ticket... and a casual invitation for a date being offered. Just not explicitly stated.
Shuddering, Petra watched in horror, as Leo raised a pencil.
"All you girls, could make the same argument... You have similar amounts of experience..."
Singling each of them out, with a stab of the pencil.
"Jean is my fastest typist..."
"Judy one of the best for closing sales..."
He seemed to struggle with Lindsay, his face silently confessing she was there as eye-candy. In her lurid top, and too tight skirt.
"And you... Petra, you have your own skill sets."
Softening his approach, "I know it's difficult, you'll all have the answer at the end of the day. There won't be this cloud of uncertainty hanging over all of you."
Hoping to escalate, and end this Petra decided to play her appeal card.
"Is there anything I can do to sway your decision?" she asked innocently. Her question deliberately neutral, she kept any sexual suggestion from her tone, and any explicit promise clear from the question.
However, she did rest her hands on his desk, as she bent from the waist. Giving him a view deep into her cleavage, as the girls themselves strained to fall from Petra's lacy bra cups.

Stealing one last lingering look (If it could be called stealing, when it was being so clearly offered). Leo sighed with regret, before sinking back into the deep padding of his swivel chair.
"No..." he answered with clear restraint, "You'll just have to wait until the end of the day."
A tiny, crystal clear chime sounded in the air. Leo didn't react as if it had sounded. But Petra was absolutely sure she'd heard it. Looking around, she saw her three friends looking through the office glass to her.
Dismissed and defeated, she left his office. A glance to her ID badge showed 4 lives inscribed there. Worse, Petra felt another change too. A punishment to go with her lost life.

Her skirt felt more tightly packed. A gesture disguised as smoothing out wrinkles real and imaginary confirmed, she had a fuller arse behind her now...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
